She boasts an impressive academic resume beginning with a classical high school education from Veritas Christian Academy in Asheville, NC where the unique curriculum featured subjects such as Rhetoric, Logic, Philosophy, and Classical Languages. During that time, she not only excelled in the classroom, but was also a stand out on the court pouring in over 1,500 career points. Jordan developed a reputation as an outstanding three-point shooter, making 68 as sophomore to lead the nation, missing the national NACA season record by just three baskets. In 2009, as a junior, Jordan was named Offensive MVP at the NACA National Tournament in Dayton, TN. In 2010-2011 she saw action in 14 games as a freshman and served as the women’s basketball representative on the NCAA Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. In her final year, Jordan was Founder and President of Lutheran Campus Ministries at GSU and worked for the Georgia non-profit Women’s Actions for New Directions (WAND) on issues of environmental racism. Jordan graduated summa cum laude from GSU in 2013 with a B.A. in Political Science and minor in Religion. After graduating she returned to basketball and spent time on the bench at Wentworth Military College in Lexington, MO, under her father, the late John Jordan. The 2013-2014 Lady Red Dragons were consistently ranked Top 20 nationally among USCAA Division II schools and produced two USCAA All-Americans.

Jamie took a brief break from basketball in 2014 to pursue her M.A. in Religion from Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, IA, where she was named a Fund For Leader Scholar by the ELCA Lutheran Church for her demonstrated commitment to issues of social justice. Most recently, Jordan served as Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at USCAA Div II Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte, NC where her father had previously been the Head Coach before losing a battle with pancreatic cancer.
